Creativity is not confined to galleries, theatres, and other sanctioned spaces. Art bursts forth in the woods, in homes, in the forgotten parking strip between curb and sidewalk. The line between audience-participant and performer-artist can be thin indeed—often blurred, sometimes shadowy, other times erased entirely. All ages can join in: all races, religions, genders, walks of life.
The boundaries, too, between artistic disciplines are permeable. With a little effort, you can walk right through them.
