Workshop: Get Your Voice Heard

Thursday June 7, 5:30-7:00
Sisters Library Meeting Room

Are you passionate about an issue, candidate, or cause? Would you like people to hear and consider your unique idea for solving a problem in your community? Persuasive writing and speaking skills can help!

Most of us need a little help thinking through our ideas, questioning our prejudices, and crafting compelling arguments. Learn to hone clear, convincing opinions on issues that matter. Bring effective storytelling to your letters to the editor, blog posts, and personal conversations. Join us and discover new ways to get your ideas placed in the forums you want. We'll focus on Letters to the Editor.

Your workshop leader is Tiffany Lee Brown, a.k.a. T, director of New Oregon Arts and Letters. Her opinions have been spread by The Oregonian, the Bend Bulletin, Eugene Register-Guard, NPR, the Washington Post, Wired, Bookforum, Entertainment Weekly, NBC News, Willamette Week, Syfy, and the Wall Street Journal, among others. She writes for The Nugget news in Sisters.

Workshop is free, sponsored by Sisters Indivisible.
Donations will be accepted, benefiting New Oregon Arts and Letters.
