 Willard Bartlett III of Camp Sherman shared his haiku with the Tea & Poetry crowd on a drizzly fall day. The winner in the Locals Only category, Bartlett selected a bottle of Metolius Tea Chai as his prize.

 The State of Oregon’s official Poet Laureate, Kim Stafford, was kind enough to judge our Food & Farm Haiku Contest. Here he is with a stunning bowl of raspberries—a colorful, fragrant inspiration for poetry.
 Kids (and at least one dog) joined Deschutes Public Library for poetry activities throughout the day.
 Mountain Rose Herbs donated roses, stevia, cinnamon, rooibos, and many other ingredients so that participants could blend their own teas.

 Many people entered the Food & Farms Haiku Contest at our drop boxes at Paulina Springs Books and Sisters Farmers Market. Young artist G Dawg created a special container to hold the entry forms.
